Yesterday random realisation with Josh: The last time we ordered claypot rice when eating out.. Was about 7+ years ago.. 🥲 Funny thing is, claypot rice was one of our favourites when we were pator-ing and married without kids. And let's be honest, claypot rice dabao (which i did order from a few shops a few times) is just not the same as mixing the rice and the chaodah rice with the soya sauce and oil ON THE SPOT when the pot is hot 😄 Yknow what i mean.
Anyway we figured out why claypot rice is just never the choice when eating out with kids 😅 1) i assume it's not something our young kids can appreciate. 2) The nicer ones must queue very long. 3) The nicer ones that must queue is always at some far-out places with nothing much to bring the kids to go look see 😂 So yup. 就这样, 我七年多没有在外头吃沙煲饭了 🥲😂
Parenthood can so drastically change you in big and small ways, good and bad ways. Ways that are obvious and ways that are not.
Last time i like to take pictures of myself a lot. And with Josh. And when i travel for work, i'd buy truckloads of cup noodles, makeup, clothes and tidbits etc. After having kids when i travel, my luggage is full of kids stuff. Toys, kids clothes, snacks for them..
I try to understand what's this feeling. It's definitely not regret nor sadness that i feel. It's just a reminder of a piece of me, of who i used to be but i'm happy where i am, who i am now ❤️ A mother of three. And i do still like to take pictures a lot. Cox i'm so scared that every moment that i'm so thankful for, will pass me without me giving it an intentional "Thank You."
Even now, i don't know when's the next time i will eat claypot rice outside but.. I am thankful the kids are healthy, we had a fun kiddie pool day and.. I only put on 3kg from eating so much mooncakes LOL.
Don't forget to remember what makes you happy ❤️

🧐 The lack of scepticism deployed on social media with regards to fitness is quite bonkers. If you found out someone who had been advising you on how to get to rich had been handed $1mil to start their portfolio, would their advice feel as relevant to you?
-
I know plenty of people in good shape who haven’t got a fucking clue why or how other than that it requires some effort 🤷🏻♂️ The reason they’ve got a bigger chest than their other friend who works out? “Oh, my chest workouts are INNNSANNNEE” and not “I’ve got a large rib cage & good insertions + I train pushing movements often”. Thankfully most of them aren’t coaches, but there are plenty online selling their magical programs or providing advice with no context.
-
I could have easily been one of them. Once we hit puberty, my siblings & I were all slim and had solid intuitive eating habits having grown up in an essentially sugar-free, junkfood-free household. I was just a “hard-gainer”, not helped by preferring a nutrient-dense diet. Eating enough pizzas and spending enough hours in the gym would probably have given me a physique that convinced people I knew everything necessary to help them. In reality it would have equipped me to help no one other than myself (and barely).
-
BUT, what if you were talking to a financial advisor who had helped dozens of people with your risk appetite and disposable income build a strong investment portfolio? That might be someone worth taking advice from...
-
Likewise with a coach who has shown an ability to get results with either a wide range of clients or a large number of clients with a similar profile to yourself. Keep in mind that coaches who only train the genetically gifted (like athletes) end up with a comically poor perspective on what the general population need and their $19.99 programs will probably display that. New mums taking training advice from some 22 year old failed college athlete turned callisthenics advocate might want to re-think.
-
Genetics aren’t to be used as a means of discrediting someone’s achievements or justifying someone’s lack thereof, but they should not be discounted when assuming someone’s personal results warrant taking their advice.

It is important to start your day with a nutritious meal and that is why I am incorporating Australian Avocados into my diet! Australian Avocados are known as a nutrient dense superfood and they contain vitamin B that can help boost your energy levels to kickstart the day!
I recommend this for anyone keen on healthy eating, on the 'Ketogenic diet' or doing intermittent fasting. Since avocados are low in carbs and sugar, this is also good for those managing their insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes.
The combination of flavours is amazing, just like a Malaysian nasi lemak but with my twist using cauliflower rice and pairing it with creamy Australian avocado and the spiciness of the local sambal. This meal tastes awesome, if you want a healthier version of a nasi lemak, do try it!
Caulirice Nasi Lemak with Australian Avocado
Ingredients:
1/2 Australian Avocado, sliced
150g Cauliflower rice
120g Grass-Fed Beef
2 Eggs
10g Anchovies
1 tbsp Sambal, store-bought ( I used a healthier, low calorie option and sweetened it slightly using lakanto sugar)
Virgin Coconut Oil, to cook
Instructions:
1) In a pan, heat some virgin coconut oil and add cauliflower rice. Stir-fry until well cooked and set aside. Next, fry the anchovies and move to a small bowl. Clean out the pan, add a bit more oil and scramble the eggs.
2) In another heated pan, cook your grass-fed beef steak on each side for 2-3 mins. Remove from pan and let it rest before slicing it.
3) On a plate, arrange the cauliflower rice, fried anchovies, scrambled eggs, sliced Australian avocado and sambal. Enjoy!
This recipe is simple and easy to follow if you're craving for some Nasi Lemak!

Hello hello hello! I'm back again with more videos on what's it's like studying and working in Malaysia as an African or Black person. In this video I talk to Sayda, from Tanzania about her many experiences in Malaysia, what made her decide to study in here and eventually work here as well. This video will benefit everyone but most especially foreign (African) mums and working wives who are in Malaysia or would like to come to Malaysia.
Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and be on the look out for Part 2!

Aloha!!! ‘Tis the durian season and we decided to give durian a try???????
Durian is the “king of fruits” in Malaysia but there’s one thing about it that puts many people off - the SMELL! It has such a terrible smell that you can’t even travel with it. Wonder what it was like for us? Watch and see!
Have you tried durian before? Did you like it or hate it? Would you try it if you haven’t?
Durian lovers in the house - come defend your fruit in the comments hahahaha
Peace and love!
